Dr. Pete Hetrick earned an undergraduate degree with a double major in Zoology and Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington. He graduated first in his class from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. He worked for three years at a busy small animal general practice before switching exclusively to emergency medicine. He joined Animal Emergency and Specialty Center in the beginning of 2023.

Outside of work he stays busy with his wife, three boys, three dogs, cat, and two gerbils. Some of his favorite activities include telemark skiing, mountain climbing, running, swimming, coaching soccer, hiking, and mountain biking.
