Surgery

For pet parents, surgery can be a stressful word. Here at Animal Emergency & Specialty Center in Poulsbo, WA, we are here for you and your pet every step of the way – from your pet’s consultation through the recovery process. AESC provides comprehensive veterinary emergency and surgical care, all while remaining compassionate and attentive to your needs.

Our hospital is equipped with three state-of-the-art surgical suites. We perform orthopedic, soft tissue, and ophthalmic surgeries, and many examples of our referral surgeries are listed below.

AESC has licensed veterinary technicians who closely monitor patients while under anesthesia, we have state-of-the-art anesthetic monitoring equipment including capnograph, pulse oximetry, Doppler and oscillometric blood pressure measurement, heated surgical tables and Bair Hugger™ temperature monitoring systems, ventilators, blood products and blood donors as needed.

24/7 overnight veterinary care for our surgical patients as needed.
